Miles is 10 months old!

Miles, you are 10 months old! Two months from one year old! Can.not.believe.it.

I don't have any stats on you because you didn't have to go to the doctor this month. You are getting taller and your chubby little legs are starting to thin out a little.

Mr. Independent! That would describe you best these days. This month you decided you did not want bottles anymore when I'm at work. Sometimes you will take your milk in a cup, but usually we have to trick you and put it in a bowl with some oatmeal.

You also stand and pull up on furniture, me, the side of the bathtub, or whatever else you can grab. You are quite proud of yourself, too!

It won't be long and you will be walking! Ah! Scares me a little. No telling what you will get into then.

You are into everything and if we take something away from you or stop you from doing something (like eating a power cord to the sound machine) you pitch a little fit. I thought this didn't start until 2?!

You love to pull up the rugs and look under them. I have no idea what you are looking for, though!

You don't like us to love on you at all. None! You will even push us away from you! You've got to get on to other things, apparently.

You are looking like such a little boy now. No more little baby!

You crawled all the way across your room today for the first time while we were taking pictures. Most of the time you take one or two "steps" but then get down on your belly and scoot.

I got you this activity table last week and you really like it, especially since you can stand and play! You love to stand.

You feed yourself now. You will let us feed you some things, like yogurt or applesauce, but for the most part, you prefer to feed yourself. Your favorite food right now is cheese. It's rare for cheese to end up on the floor, but a lot more common to find carrots and green beans on the floor.

You look really sweet above, but it was right after you pitched a little fit about something. I probably tried to feed you and you didn't like it!

You also feed yourself when we go out to eat. We put you in the hook-on highchair, which you love to sit in, and you feed yourself while we eat. Usually. Tonight we took you out and you were throwing your macaroni and cheese on the floor. I tell you no and you smile at me.

Last weekend we went out to see Kala and Christopher's new house and went out for lunch.

You also got 2 more neighbor babies this month! We went over to visit Cole and Luke last weekend. I'm sure y'all will be great friends when you get a little bigger!

You also went to Chick-fil-A home office for the first time. We went with Hillary to have lunch with Melanie. We thought you should take your picture with Truett while we were there.

You LOVE to play in your playroom. You just play and play with your toys. Eleanor likes to join you occasionally, but Cleo likes to steal your toys in exchange for a treat.

You are so sweet. You fell asleep on the way home from dinner tonight and you looked so sweet in your little bear hoodie. You are a precious little boy, Miles man!

Miles is 9 months old!

post signatureMiles, you are 9 months old! 3/4 of the way to a year. I'm a couple days late posting because it has been a busy week!

We went to see Dr Roe yesterday for your 9 month visit. No shots!! Here are your stats:
Head circumference: 18 inches, 75th percentile
Height: 29.5 inches, 90th percentile
Weight: 21 lbs, 6 oz, 75th percentile
You are a big boy!

You are also very active! You are not still for even one second anymore. Your feet are always moving, just like me. Ha!

You are not crawling yet, but you are so close! You get up on your hands and needs, rock back and forth, and then scoot back. You get where you need to go by rolling. You also started trying to pull up on things. Maybe you'll just skip crawling?

You've also got quite the attitude here recently! You'll scream when we take something away from you. And the spitting. My word at the spitting. Making me CRAZY. You sometimes miss entire meals because you can't stop spitting! I've tried ignoring it, walking away, covering your mouth, and saying "no!", but nothing works. I hope you get over it soon. You look real proud of yourself when you do it, too. You also pinch us now, which hurts! You are rough.

You also buzz your lips with your finger, which is pretty funny! It's your best trick right now.

See? Trying to crawl, but just not quite there yet. You were trying to get one of the weenies here.

We took you outside for some pictures this weekend. I couldn't resist the bunny ears in the $1 section at Target. You are so cute!

Half of a smile. That's all we could get!

Tiny Miles feet! You love being outside. It's finally starting to warm up some, so I take you out to sit on the front porch in the afternoons. I also started working part-time this month. I get to spend extra time with you, but so far we have been busy on my off days!

You are so funny! You squeal a lot.

I am still feeding you 5 times per day (every 3 hours) along with 3 meals per day, but we are changing to every 4 hours this week and dropping a feeding. You go to bed around 7:30 and wake up around 6:30. I wish you would sleep until 7!

We still use cloth diapers full time with no trouble!

You are an ok eater right now. Sometimes you eat well and sometimes you refuse to eat. You love applesauce, yogurt and water! You get really excited when you get water.

You "talk" all the time. When you discover a new sound, you say it a lot! You seem to have /b, p, m, d, w/. You also like when we sing to you. Your favorites are "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" and "5 Little Monkeys." It's really sweet.

Your hair is getting long, but I'm not ready to cut it yet.

You like to stand and play with your toys now. This is your new Zany Zoo toy. I had to get a new toy because I was tired of playing with the stuff we had.

This is a video of you playing in your high chair, but I'm not sure it will work.

Sweet boy. You had your baby dedication on 3/1/14 and we had lunch here afterwards. I'll do a separate post on that.

You also got your first pair of shoes this month. I love them! They are size 4 See Kai Run sandals, but are definitely big on you.

I couldn't resist this picture. You look like a redneck baby eating in just your diaper. Ha!

I tell you all the time that you are the best thing ever, and that's exactly how I feel. Even when you spit food on me! We love you to the moon and back.
