Miles is 15 months old!

Miles, you are 15 months old! This is a random assortment of pictures from the last month or so.

I think you were fooling us all those months when you were so calm and content. You are very much the opposite of that these days! See below for proof. You pitch a lot of fits these days. Sometimes for no apparent reason, sometimes if we take something away, generally the iPad.

We go to music class one day a week and you absolutely love it! You love Ms Maire, the teacher. Your friend Eloise is in your class now, too. (Excuse the bad picture! Difficult to take a picture of two busy babies.)

We go eat at West Egg for brunch a lot and you like to play in these chairs out front.

Miles man selfie.

This picture is too funny to me! Makes me laugh every time I see it.

You spend a lot of time feeding the dogs your food. This is the only time Eleanor is not trying to bite you. You have been a rather difficult eater recently. Sometimes you eat, sometimes you don't.

We took you over to Georgia Tech to walk around and see the fountain a few weeks ago. You loved it and you tried to climb in. Of course.

You know no bounds. Sitting your chair is not interesting enough for you. You have to stand up backwards and rock the chair!

You do love a peanut butter spoon!

You had your last bag of frozen breastmilk this month! This was the last bag.

Playing with blocks is lots of fun!

These are some sweet pictures you daddy took of you while I was out one day.

Wild man! You enjoy yelling. Loudly.

We took you to the zoo (this was your third trip to the zoo) and met Katherine and Lily there. Miles and Lily the lions.

Here are some fun facts about you!
  • You are still a busy little boy. You sleep 7am - 7pm, but you aren't a great napper anymore, which is sad. I've tried changing to one nap a day but that seemed to be worse, so we went back to two naps for now.
  • You say mama, dada, uh oh, and up.
  • You also like to feed yourself from a fork or spoon.
  • You harrass the heck out of the weenies. NONSTOP.
  • You nod your head yes and no and can follow simple directions.
  • You push your parade truck walking/riding toy in circles around the house.
  • At your 15 month appointment, you were 25 lbs (75th percentile), 31 inches (50-75th percentile), and 19 inches for head circumference (90th percentile). You have quite a big noggin!
  • You got your third haircut this month.
You are a trip, Miles! We love you lots, little boy.

Miles update: 14 months!

post signatureMiles is 14 months old now! I stopped doing the monthly posts, but I think it is time for an update. I also want to document some of the funny things he does now. These are Miles' one year pictures and I LOVE them! They were done by Megan Wilson, the same photographer that did his newborn and six month photos.

We took these photos a few weeks after his first birthday in downtown Woodstock.

Miles is a busy little bee with an independent personality! He is into everything, climbs the stairs, and eats imaginary things off the floor.

Miles can pull up, cruise around on furniture, and stand without assistance after pulling up, but is not walking yet. I am ready for him to walk because he is so darn heavy! He weighs 25 pounds now.

We've had a few changes since he turned one that have kept us on our toes! Miles had a major run of ear infections, so he ended up with ear tubes around 13 months. So far, so good and no follow up infections. Miles also has a new part-time nanny named Crista and we absolutely love her! She takes Miles for walks and to the playground.

Miles is a nosey and observant little guy. He will turn his head and lean forward to watch someone/something he is interested in. He is also very stubborn! If we take something away from him, he will throw himself to the ground and pitch a little fit.

He is also starting to figure out the function of things. He will try to put on our socks and knows the sunglasses go on his face. He also seems to orient things in the correct direction and will turn things to fix them, like sunglasses, my phone, or a book.

Miles has no time for sitting still and makes it rather difficult to put him in the highchair, stroller, or carseat. He screams, twists, and arches his back so we can't strap him in.

But, he is also really sweet! He will hug us now and lay his head on our shoulders. Precious!

He still has 6 teeth, 4 on top and 2 on bottom. I expect more any day now!

He seems to have had a growth spurt in the last couple of weeks. He outgrew his shoes and some of his onesies. I took him to Sprong for some new shoes this week.

Miles spent the night away from us this weekend for the first time! He spent the night with his grandparents so Ben and I could go to dinner for our anniversary. He did great and came home worn out! I think he must have played hard.

He has also been a bit of a picky eater recently. He will shake his head no if he doesn't want something.  He's just too busy to eat much right now!

That's my update for now! I feel like there were a few more things I wanted to say, so I'll have to add them as they come to me. Miles is a handful, but we love him to pieces!
